What I really appreciate about this area is how authentically Milanese it feels. You’re not surrounded by tourist traps here — instead, you’ll find proper neighborhood bars where people grab their morning espresso, small groceries, and that lived-in atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real city. The Porta Garibaldi district is walkable from here, and you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to come back to a quieter street after a day of sightseeing.

The Space

The room setup is practical in that Italian way — everything has its place, and nothing feels wasted. There’s a kitchenette that’s actually functional (not just for show), which means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local market and make a simple breakfast or late-night snack. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathrooms are clean and modern. It’s a three-star property, so don’t expect marble countertops, but everything works well.

Getting Around

Here’s something I wish I’d known before arriving — the public transport connections are actually pretty solid from this spot. You can walk to Porta Garibaldi station in about fifteen minutes, or catch buses that’ll get you to the center without much fuss. Parking can be tricky in this part of Milan (like most of the city, really), so if you’re driving, plan accordingly or ask them about options nearby.

Look, PrimoPiano – Fusina isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or a concierge who knows your name. But it offers something that’s honestly harder to find — a genuine slice of Milan residential life at a reasonable price point. The staff is helpful without being overly formal, and the whole setup just works for travelers who want to explore the city during the day and come back to a comfortable, quiet space at night.   It was very clean, the location was amazing
  
  What could be improved: The sofa was broken which makes it so hard to sleep (they said that they fixed it), the bed in the bedroom is a couch. Only one person can take a shower because there was not enough hot water until the next day. The drains don't suck the water enough it takes time. The windows didn't have good isolation which lowered the room temperature making it cold

  It was really clean, location was good – close to metro, you have everything you need in apartment, and it is really safe and peaceful around it. I would recommend it to everybody. Only things that I didnt like were that there is not elevator so you have to walk to 5th floor and a little bit complicated getting into apartment.

  The accommodation is totally fine, about a 40-minute walk to the city center, and there's a metro station right in front of the building for those who don't walk 🙂 It's a nice neighborhood, and there are markets, restaurants, bars, a park, a pharmacy, etc. nearby.
  
  What could be improved: When it comes to entering the accommodation, we arrived around 2 AM and couldn’t unlock the building door either by call or online. A neighbor who happened to pass by at that moment unlocked it for us. Everything else was totally fine.

  I liked price, the location near the subway. View from the window, large size of the apartment. Comfortable big bed. The apartment had all the amenities.
  
  What could be improved: Did not like the cold floor and low temperature in apartment. Broken shower and the fact that the owner was not in touch and did not respond to messages, both in the mail and on the app. Didn't like that it was the fifth floor and there was no elevator. It was very hard to lift the bags.

  We liked that the metro station is right next to the property. It was also pretty easy to enter the property at first and get the keys. You have pretty much anything that you might need.
  
  What could be improved: Regarding the sofa bed, a part of it is broken which makes it impossile to sleep on the left side of the bed.

  Communication was perfect, instructions were clear and easy. Location is great, neighborhood was quiet, subway station is right around corner and supermarket across street.
