PrimoPiano – Meda 6 Overview
First Impressions
PrimoPiano – Meda 6 sits quietly on a residential street in the Navigli district, and honestly, you might walk right past it if you’re not looking carefully. The building feels more like a converted apartment building than a traditional hotel — which, actually, it sort of is. There’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that I found appealing after visiting so many over-designed places in Milan.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re basically in the heart of Navigli here, which means you’re a ten-minute walk from some of the best aperitivo spots in the city. The Naviglio Grande canal is right there, and I mean right there — you can hear the evening buzz from the bars and restaurants drifting up to the windows. During the day, it’s surprisingly quiet for being so central, but come 6 PM, the whole area comes alive with locals heading out for drinks.
The Room
My room was basically a studio apartment with a small kitchenette tucked into one corner — nothing fancy, but everything worked. The bed was comfortable enough, and there’s actually decent storage space, which you don’t always get in Milan hotels. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with a surprisingly good shower. What struck me most was how clean everything was; this three-star place clearly takes maintenance seriously.
Practical Details
The parking situation is… well, it’s Milan, so don’t expect miracles. There’s no hotel parking, but you can find spots on nearby streets if you’re patient. Most guests I talked to were either walking everywhere or using the metro — Porta Genova station is about a 12-minute walk, which isn’t bad at all. The front desk staff speaks decent English and they’re genuinely helpful with restaurant recommendations, though don’t expect 24-hour service.
Why Guests Love It
Look, PrimoPiano isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works. You get a clean, comfortable base in one of Milan’s most vibrant neighborhoods without paying premium hotel prices. The kitchenette means you can grab groceries and make coffee in the morning, which honestly saves you a fortune in this city. Plus, you’re living like a local rather than being stuck in some sterile hotel bubble — and in Navigli, that’s exactly what you want.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Meda 6
Very good – Marijana from Croatia – 22 May 2025 (8/10)
Close to the tram station, 10min ride from city center. Easy self-check in with detailed instructions.
What could be improved: The bathroom door were quite broken so it was hard to close them.Very poor – Bata from Serbia – 12 December 2024 (2/10)
What could be improved: the facility is quite old and needs renovation/moisture is felt in the facility/the staff did not allow entry into the facility even though everything was paid except for the tax of €9 and it was 10pm at night and the temperature was 2C very cold❄️☃️❄️I could not activate the application how I would have paid. Only after sending the application again did I succeed/Very bad experience

What could be improved: Washing mashine was not work properly
Comfy room, but getting into room and check in process is poir – Bharath from Australia – 12 October 2024 (6/10)
Room was neat
What could be improved: 3 Rd floor… It becomes really difficult to carry the baby with stroller and suitcases. so I feel the owners should make it clear in their advertisement .Check in process is a treasure hunt, which is really bad. Check in process is not revealed until the end and if there is any issue with the internet while roaming , it is pretty much clear that we should sleep on the road.Creepy building and unsafe neigbourhood. Would not go back in my emtire life. – Lucrecia from Argentina – 26 September 2024 (4/10)
There was a tram just in front of the apartment. Location was unsafe to get to at night.
What could be improved: I did not like that I had to climb 3 flight of stairs to get to the apartment. The building was creepy and unsafe, it smelled like garbage. I have a photo of an abandoned matress in the middle of the grass at the ground level.Basic Luxury – Dora from United States – 2 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: The shower water didn’t really get hot.Good location, simple apartment, cozy for a few days, parking was not very easy at that area but not too hard, generally – Anonymous from Greece – 16 October 2023 (7/10)
Nice bed and comfortable, warm place and not very loud neighbourhood
What could be improved: There was water on the bathroom floor near the toilet – not much but there was some and it was not from the shower. It was on the floor when we got there. Everything else was good
