Tucked away on a quiet residential street in the Navigli district, this apartment-style accommodation feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel. The building itself has that classic Milanese charm — you know, the kind with elegant stonework and wrought-iron balconies that make you feel like you’re living in a different era.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s what I love about the Navigli area — it’s where actual Milanese people hang out, not just tourists. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the famous canals where aperitivo culture is alive and well every evening. Milan‘s city center is easily reachable by metro (Porta Genova station is your friend), but honestly, I found myself wanting to stay in the neighborhood most evenings. The local trattorias around Via Torricelli serve some seriously good risotto, and there’s this little bakery two blocks down that does incredible cornetti in the morning.

The Space

What makes this three-star place special is the space itself — it actually feels like a home. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on breakfast and late-night snacks. I mean, when you’re staying in Milan for more than a couple days, having your own fridge and coffee maker becomes essential. The room I stayed in was larger than most hotel rooms I’ve experienced in the city, with tall ceilings and windows that let in plenty of natural light.

Practical Considerations

Now, let’s be honest about what you’re getting here. This isn’t a place with 24-hour room service or a concierge who’ll arrange theater tickets. It’s more of a self-service situation, which I actually preferred. The Wi-Fi works well (important for those of us who need to stay connected), and the building is quiet enough that you’ll sleep properly. Street parking can be a bit tricky during the day, but if you’re relying on public transport like most visitors, it’s not an issue.

  The apartment was super cozy, it had well equipped kitchen, sofa, tv, aircon, hairdryer, towels. The instructions to get to the building and apartment were clear. Communication with the host was without problem. The tram stop was located 2 min walk from the apartment, Duomo 30 min walk, a lot of bakeries around.
  
  What could be improved: The sofa that is there as a bed is quite uncomfortable, so I would not recommend booking this apartment for a long stay.

  I’m really surprised by the bad reviews here. You get exactly as shown and the instructions are extremely straight forward. We got to the property around 12:30am (00:30) and the check in process was extremely easy. Loved the area and the price was perfect! Grazie!

  What could be improved: The phone number to open the door of the building didn't work, we were stuck outdoor for 30 minutes (fortunatly a kind neighbor opened us).

  I liked the automated process, even if the host was not so collaborative when contacted and kept on replying with kind of automatic messages.
  
  What could be improved: The bed is a terrible sofa, so uncomfortable. The bathroom is so cold, as the whole apartment. Very small, almost difficult to walk with luggages. There were no water in the fridge, and there is still a mosquito dead to the wall. The place is 16 minutes far from the metro.
