You’re close enough to Milan‘s center without dealing with the chaos — the M4 line gets you to San Babila in about ten minutes, and from there you can reach pretty much anywhere. What I really appreciated was having that authentic neighborhood feel with local cafes and shops, but still being able to pop into the Quadrilatero della Moda when I felt like window shopping. The walk to Porta Romana is pleasant too, especially if you want to explore some of the city’s emerging food scene.

The Space Itself

This four-star place really maximizes its square footage well. The bedroom is separate from the living area — which sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how many “one-bedrooms” in Milan are basically studios with a partition. The kitchen is actually functional too, not just decorative, so I could make proper coffee in the morning and even cook a simple dinner with ingredients from the local market. The whole apartment gets incredible afternoon light, and I found myself working from the dining table more than I expected because it was just so pleasant.

Practical Comfort

You know what impressed me most? The attention to details that actually matter when you’re living somewhere temporarily. The shower has proper water pressure, there’s enough closet space for a week’s worth of clothes, and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every time someone in the building uses their microwave. The room stays surprisingly quiet considering you’re in the city — I think the windows are double-glazed, though I didn’t specifically ask. Air conditioning works efficiently too, which was crucial during my July visit when Milan was basically an oven.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it strikes that perfect balance between being in Milan but not overwhelmed by it. You get the space and comfort of a proper apartment with the convenience of being connected to everything that matters.   This place has a lot of character, which is what drew me to it. It’s genuinely beautiful. While mostly clean, it wasn’t spotless. The interior appeared to have been recently renovated.
  Located on the fourth floor, the flat is accessible via an elevator. The bed was firm and comfortable—likely a new mattress. Amenities included both a dishwasher and a washing machine. Two bottles of water were provided in the fridge, along with basic cooking essentials like olive oil, salt, and a few dishes for preparing and serving meals. Beautiful bathroom, no black moulds.
  The view overlooks a street lined with trees and the buildings opposite—pleasant, though not particularly scenic.
  
  What could be improved: The coffee pods in the cabinet were for a different machine, which I didn’t realise until the first morning—so no quick coffee to start the day. I later bought some from the market, so it wasn’t a major issue.
  The property has no soundproofing whatsoever. While it’s an older building, that’s not a valid excuse—windows can be soundproofed regardless of age. Sleeping at night was difficult. On the first night, a neighbour’s TV was loud until 2am. Then on the final night (a Thursday), there was constant noise from passing motorcycles and heavy machinery throughout the night, slept an hour or so only.
  The pillows were far too flat to be comfortable and two of them were too high. The soap provided was minimal and of poor quality—I had to purchase my own and ended up leaving most of the unused portion behind.

  Very nice and cozy apartment. We had a very pleasant stay there. The apartment is bright, spacious, and beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. Check-in was smooth. The location is great, with a bus stop nearby and a metro station not far away. The city center is also within walking distance. The bed had the most comfortable mattress we've ever experienced in our travels, and we were also pleased with the two sinks in the bathroom. Highly recommended!
  
  What could be improved: A minor point for improvement would be some soundproofing from the street sounds in the bedroom.

  We actually liked everything about the apartment. It's clean, stylish and very conveniently located. The neighborhood is peaceful and has restaurants and shops very close by. Also the key pick up was really smooth and pre-arrival info was timely and thorough. Would highly recommend!
