Here’s what I love about this location — you’re actually living like a Milanese person for a few days. There’s a fantastic morning market just two blocks away where locals grab their daily bread and vegetables. The Porta Venezia metro station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which means you can reach the Duomo in under fifteen minutes without dealing with the crowds that swarm around Centrale. You know what’s even better? Some of Milan’s best aperitivo bars are within stumbling distance.

The Room Experience

My room was small but thoughtfully designed — everything had its place, and nothing felt cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for a three-star, and the bathroom, while compact, had excellent water pressure (trust me, this matters after walking around Milan all day). What struck me most was how quiet it stayed at night, even with windows facing the street. The air conditioning actually worked properly, which isn’t always guaranteed in older Milan buildings.

Daily Essentials

There’s no full restaurant here, but the breakfast setup works perfectly fine — fresh pastries, decent coffee, and everything you need to start your day without the inflated hotel prices. The staff genuinely seems to care about helping you navigate the city, not just checking you in and disappearing. I mean, the woman at reception drew me a hand-sketched map to avoid tourist traps near Brera, which saved me both time and money.

  Everything was great, the apartment is clean and in a great location. The metro is not even 5 minutes away and the tram passes right by the location.

  What could be improved: When booking, I thought that it was a hotel, but it was an apartment with a shared living room, the shower was leaking and there was no elevator (although in fact there is an elevator, you just can’t use it, because the owner doesn’t pay for it) and I had to carry heavy suitcases to the 3rd floor
