The Navigli Experience

Being in the Navigli district means you’re basically living like a local Milanese person would want to. The canal-side aperitivo scene starts around 6 PM, and you can literally walk out the front door and choose from dozens of spots. During the day, it’s surprisingly quiet — most tourists stick to the Duomo area, so you get this authentic neighborhood vibe. The Sunday antique market along the canal is something I’d never skip if I were staying here.

The Suite Itself

The apartment-style setup is what sets this place apart from typical hotel rooms. You get a proper kitchen with everything you need, which means you can actually shop at the local markets and cook something decent. The living area feels spacious without being cavernous, and the bedroom is separated enough that you don’t feel like you’re living in one big box. The design leans modern but warm — think Scandinavian meets Italian sensibility.

Practical Considerations

This four-star property gets the basics right without any unnecessary fuss. The Wi-Fi actually works well (I mean, really works, not just technically functions), and the building stays quiet despite being on a busy canal. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride to the city center, but honestly, the Navigli area has enough going on that you might not need to venture out much. The nearest metro stop is Porta Genova, which connects you to pretty much anywhere you’d want to go in Milan.

What strikes me most is how this place manages to feel both local and comfortable for travelers. You’re not staying in some sterile hotel bubble — you’re actually experiencing how people live in Milan.   The Suite is spottless clean and very well equipped of all you need also for a long stay.
  It’s located in the heart of the Naviglo Alzaia, inside a typical italian court.
  The host is very responsive and helpful.
