Walking into Suite Charme Brera feels like stepping into someone’s incredibly stylish Milanese apartment — which, honestly, is exactly what it used to be. This four-star boutique property sits right in the heart of Brera, and you know immediately that you’re somewhere special. The reception area has this understated elegance that screams quality without being flashy about it.

Prime Brera Location

You’re literally surrounded by some of Milan‘s best antique shops, art galleries, and those tiny aperitivo bars that locals actually frequent. Via Alessandro Volta might not ring a bell, but trust me — it’s perfectly positioned between the Pinacoteca di Brera and La Scala, both just a few minutes’ walk away. I mean, you can practically roll out of bed and be browsing original artwork or sipping morning coffee at one of those impossibly chic sidewalk cafés.

The Accommodations

Each room here feels more like a private residence than a hotel stay. The suites are spacious by Milan standards (which is saying something), with original hardwood floors and these gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that flood everything with natural light. What really got me was the attention to detail — marble bathrooms, Egyptian cotton linens, and actually useful things like proper lighting for reading and plenty of outlets where you need them.

Dining and Amenities

There isn’t a traditional hotel restaurant on-site, but honestly? You don’t need one when you’re in Brera. The staff knows every worthwhile trattoria within three blocks and they’re genuinely helpful with reservations — not just the touristy places either. The complimentary breakfast gets delivered right to your suite, which feels wonderfully decadent when you’re jet-lagged and just want to ease into the day.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it doesn’t try too hard to be a hotel. It’s more like staying at your sophisticated friend’s place, if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and a killer address. The service feels personal without being intrusive, and there’s something refreshing about a property that focuses on doing a few things really well rather than cramming in every possible amenity. Plus, you’ll actually feel like you’re living in Milan rather than just visiting it.

  Everything was very good except the furniture. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. People who can afford to pay 350 euros a night have a good bed at home. I’m sure the owners bought the cheapest they could find.
  The location was excellent as was the apartment. Please change the beds for the next guests. The living room furniture was also uncomfortable.

  The location is perfect! The apartment is super comfortable and the hosts were easy to talk. Would recommend for sure.
  The lift is small but could attend our needs with a buggy. Sometimes we had to do 2 trips or half the family would go on the lift with the buggy and the others by stairs. Not a problem at all.
  In a walking distance there's many restaurants, bars, bakeries, Eataly, stores, train and metro stations – just perfect!

  The apartment is nice and spacious. It was very clean and well decorated. It is in a nice trendy area, with many restaurants and bars nearby.
  
  What could be improved: The main gate was closed when we arrived, and opening did not work as instructed. The host did not come to solve the problem. He actually suggested to ask for help in a bar at the ground level, who finally helped us to get in.
  It also advertised free parking, but there is not. Parking in the area is an issue, not even paying. And if you are lucky to find a spot it is expensive.

  Didn’t meet the host face to face, but very responsive to queries & timely sending of access instructions, which were very clear.
  Overall the apartment met our expectations, spacious & quiet at night despite the bar downstairs. A few welcome bits in the kitchen for our arrival. Good local amenities.
  
  What could be improved: The crockery could have been better checked to ensure the previous occupants had left things clean – there were a number of items we needed to re-wash. A bottle of water in the fridge for our arrival would have topped off the other items.

  Good location, 5-min walking distance to Metro Station Moscova, with 2 rooms, perfect for family stay. Comfortable living room. Kitchen with comprehensive cookware. We have washed clothes there during our 2-night stay.

  What could be improved: Communication was unfriendly and unreliable. Four days before our arrival, we were assured that we could leave our luggage in the apartment before check-in. After we had dropped off our bags and were already in the city, we suddenly received a message saying this was no longer possible — due to a late check-out. Allegedly, the apartment had been confused. Very poorly handled and unprofessional.
  
  What are you supposed to do for five hours in a city like Milan with all your luggage?
  
  Additionally, the access code for the apartment was not sent by the agreed check-in time in the afternoon, not even 30 minutes later. We only received it after actively asking for it. We regularly rent apartments in different cities — unfortunately, this was not one of the good experiences.

  The apartment is super spacious and beautifully decorated, incredibly comfortable, and right in the heart of the city. The neighborhood is full of shops and restaurants, and it’s just steps away from the Duomo—truly a one-of-a-kind place! The dining room is huge and so elegant. I highly, highly recommend this apartment!
