The kitchen setup is simple but functional, which is great because you’re surrounded by some incredible local food shops.

Location & Neighborhood

Via Paolo Sarpi is Milan’s Chinatown, but it’s also become this interesting mix of Asian markets, trendy aperitivo spots, and locals going about their daily business. You’re about a 10-minute walk from Porta Garibaldi station, which connects you to everywhere you need to go. What I love is how you can grab amazing dim sum downstairs, then walk five minutes to Brera for art galleries — it’s this perfect blend of authentic Milan life.

What Makes It Special

The 9 rating makes total sense once you’re here. The host clearly knows what travelers actually want — good WiFi, a decent shower, and that terrace for unwinding after walking around Milan all day. There’s no fancy lobby or concierge, but there’s something refreshing about just having the keys to your own little Milano retreat. The parking situation is typical Milan (meaning challenging), but the metro connections are so good you won’t need a car anyway.

  The owner is super nice. He left us small croissants and a lot of coffee capsules just for one day. Terrace is exceptional and the check out time is late. Located in Chinatown and gives a perfect opportunity to try a lot of Asian cuisine on the same street.

  The owner is very kind and responsive, with attention to detail and nice little gestures like fortune cookies and small snacks, the place is charming in design, clean, with a good location and a wonderful terrace, I highly recommend it!

  The apartment is small but very well equipped – it has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Enjoying a morning coffee on the terrace was simply wonderful! ❤️ Thoughtful touches like snacks and bottled water made us feel truly welcomed and cared for.
  
  The location is fantastic: a lively neighborhood with plenty of bars and restaurants, yet still quite peaceful and safe. It’s also within walking distance to the city center and the Duomo (or a few minutes by tram), which was very convenient.

  What could be improved: This property is more of an Airbnb type and not hotel. The bath towels smelt like old dried water. One small lamp in the bathroom hence, extremely difficult to see. The toilet could be replaced as there are brown (rusty) spots in the bowl. When taking a shower, the water gets extremely cold for a couple of seconds and returns hot.

  The room was locates close to the center in the Chinese district. The room also has a very cozy balcony where you can eat your breakfast or just have a glass of wine in the evening.
  The host was very friendly, hospital and kind to us. Communication with the host was also very smooth and easy. We did really like this accommodation and we can highly recommend to anyone staying for a couple nights in Milano.
