Suite Isola Overview
First Impressions
Suite Isola sits on a quiet street in Milan‘s Porta Nuova district, and honestly, the location caught me off guard in the best way. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Milano Porta Garibaldi station, which means you can dump your bags and be exploring the city center within twenty minutes. The building itself has that understated Italian elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell they’ve put thought into the details.
The Neighborhood Scene
Here’s what I love about staying in this area — you get to experience Milan like the locals do, not just the tourist version. The Porta Nuova district has this great mix of modern energy and authentic neighborhood feel. There are actual grocery stores nearby (trust me, this matters when you want breakfast pastries), plus some solid restaurant options that aren’t trying to fleece visitors. The Bosco Verticale towers are practically around the corner, which is pretty cool to stumble upon during your morning coffee run.
Suite Life
The suites here are what make this three-star place punch above its weight. Each apartment-style unit comes with a proper kitchenette — and I mean actually functional, not just for show. The room layouts feel spacious compared to typical Milan accommodations, which can be pretty cramped. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create that cozy, lived-in feeling without sacrificing cleanliness or modern touches.
Getting Around
Transportation from here is honestly seamless. You’ve got the Garibaldi station right there for trains to Malpensa airport, plus metro connections that’ll get you anywhere in the city. I actually found myself walking more than expected — the Brera district is totally doable on foot, and even the Duomo isn’t that far if you’re up for a pleasant stroll through the city streets. Parking can be tricky in this part of Milan, but that’s pretty much universal for the city center area.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Suite Isola apart is how it strikes this perfect balance between independence and hotel service. You get the freedom of having your own kitchen and space to spread out, but there’s still someone at reception who knows the neighborhood inside and out. The value proposition is solid too — you’re paying reasonable rates for what feels like a much more upscale experience, especially considering how well-connected you are to everything Milan has to offer.

Excellent Apartment – Nicole from United States – 26 November 2025 (9/10)
Extremely easy check-in process and great communication.
Excellent location an easy walk from the train and metro stations and with restaurants nearby.
Very large, modern bathroom with spacious shower, good water pressure, plenty of hooks and space for toiletries, and even a heated towel rack!
Physical lock inside the door made me feel very secure.
Heat worked well
Coffee was available
Outlets on both sides of the bed
What could be improved: Space is a little snug. Great for one person, a little cozy for two.
Lift key is with the apartment key so the two trips to/from the apartment when one has luggage must be done via the stairs.Comfortable convenient – Richard from Australia – 28 September 2025 (9/10)
Good location for access to transport, food choices and visiting Milan's famous attractions. Very clean and well appointed room. Extra thanks to Mirko for detailed instructions on how to checking and for allowing us to manage our early morning arrival to Milan. Would love to stay again. This is a local neighbourhood of Milan and it's nice to have a relaxing place to return to.
Exceptional – Alice from France – 20 August 2025 (10/10)

Superb – Grace from United Kingdom – 16 July 2025 (9/10)
Location after arriving to Porta Garibaldi was ideal. Check-in instructions very clear and no trouble. Air con was very welcome given the heat. My teenager said it was the best shower ever and the sleep was delicious! 😂
What could be improved: NothingGood! – Camila from Argentina – 15 July 2025 (7/10)
The location is great and the apt is good taking in consideration we went out all day. The water is hot and bed is comfy.
What could be improved: The cafe machine was dirty and the electric kettle as well.Very good – Katrina from Australia – 30 June 2025 (8/10)
We were updated with the check in instructions a day before arrival. Property has an elevator but only accessible to use once you already have keys. So if you have luggage, I suggest collecting the keys upstairs by foot and going down again via elevator to get your luggae on the ground floor.
The property is close to a night time commercial area. The main reason why we booked this location though is its proximity to the train station where there is a direct line to Malpensa Airport as this was out last stop in Italy before flying out. If you have the same itinerary then ths is a good place to book.
What could be improved: We had a minor hiccup from the last last checkout before us but the host was quick to action and was very apologetic.Perfect place for staying, we will definitely be back here – Robis from Poland – 28 May 2024 (10/10)
Location within a walking distance to Milano Centrale train station and to all tourist places in Milan, very comfortable bed, view from the balcony and in general – everything. We were astonished by this place and Milan and we will definitely return, recommending Suite Isola.
What could be improved: The fridge was little, yet a little too loud and noisy so that it woke us up at night a couple of times, probably it would be a good idea to replace or just remove it, as it's not that necessary 🙂Great location next to train station – Orna from Canada – 1 May 2024 (9/10)
Very short walk from train station, easy check-in, recently renovated large bathroom
Exceptional – Ivana from Montenegro – 20 February 2024 (10/10)
Great location. Very close to yrain station which is great if you need to go to aeroport …plus the neighborhood is with shopping mall, kids park and sweet cafes and restaurants, green market…it's not far from the center ( like 30 min by foot) ….the appartment is clean, cozy and really sweet. Mirko is easy to communicate and really great.
