San Siro isn’t exactly the postcard part of Milan, but hear me out — it works really well for certain travelers. You’re about 20 minutes from the Duomo by metro, and honestly, that distance means you get to see how real Milanese people actually live. The neighborhood has this authentic, working-class vibe with local bars and small shops that haven’t been touristified yet. Plus, if you’re here for a football match at San Siro stadium, well, you’re practically next door.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in felt spacious — way more than you’d expect from most Milan hotels in this price range. The loft-style design actually delivers on the name, with high ceilings that make everything feel airy and open. What I really appreciated was the kitchenette setup; it’s basic but functional, which means you can grab groceries from the Esselunga down the street and save some euros on meals. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range place.

Practical Details

There’s no fancy lobby or concierge service — this is pretty much a straightforward, no-frills operation. But the staff I dealt with were genuinely helpful and spoke decent English, which isn’t always a given in this part of town. Parking can be arranged, though you’ll want to ask about it when booking since street parking around here gets competitive. The building itself is quiet, even though you’re in a residential area where normal life happens around you.

Why Guests Love It

Look, The Victory Loft isn’t going to wow you with marble bathrooms or a rooftop pool. What it does well is give you a clean, comfortable base in Milan without the tourist markup you’d pay closer to the center. I mean, for the money, you’re getting space, decent amenities, and a chance to experience Milan like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through. It’s the kind of place that works really well if you’re planning to explore the city during the day and just need somewhere reliable to crash at night.

  What could be improved: Contrary to what is advertised, there is no free parking available. They tell you to find a parking place in the neighbourhood, which is close to impossible. Or you have to go to a paid parking and pay 5 euros per hour. So, if you have a car, be careful. We stayed for one night. Could not sleep from the noise coming from the other room. The internet connection was poor. We found the facilities outdated and some were dusty.
