Basiliche Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Basiliche Apartment sits right in the heart of Milan on a quiet residential street that somehow feels tucked away despite being minutes from everything that matters. The building has that classic Milanese charm — you know, the kind with those beautiful iron balconies and stone facades that make you feel like you’re actually living in the city rather than just passing through. It’s a three-star place, which honestly works perfectly here because you’re not paying for marble lobbies when what you really want is a genuine Milan experience.
Location & Getting Around
Via Antonio Banfi might not ring a bell, but trust me on this — you’re about a 10-minute walk from Porta Garibaldi and maybe 15 from the Duomo if you’re feeling ambitious. What I love about this spot is that you’re in a real neighborhood where Milanese people actually live and work. There’s a fantastic little café two blocks down where the barista will start making your cappuccino the moment he sees you coming (after day three, anyway). The metro connections are solid, and honestly, walking around this part of the city center never gets old.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment itself feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical hotel room. You’ve got a proper kitchen — not some tiny kitchenette, but actual counter space and everything you need to make a real meal. I mean, when you’re in Milan and you find amazing ingredients at the local markets, you want to be able to do something with them, right? The space is clean and functional, with those high ceilings that make Italian apartments feel so much more spacious than they actually are.
Dining & Local Life
There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, that’s kind of the point of staying here. You’re surrounded by authentic Milanese eateries — the kind where tourists don’t usually venture but locals grab lunch every day. About three streets over, there’s this family-run trattoria that serves the best risotto alla milanese I’ve had outside of someone’s nonna’s kitchen. Plus, having your own kitchen means you can hit up the morning markets and create your own Italian breakfast situation, which beats hotel continental spreads any day.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Basiliche Apartment is that it gives you Milan life, not Milan tourism. You’re staying in an actual neighborhood, shopping where locals shop, and getting that genuine city rhythm that’s impossible to find in big chain hotels. The 7.7 rating reflects exactly what you’d expect — it’s not perfect, but it’s real and comfortable and puts you right where you want to be. If you’re the type who’d rather explore authentic Milan than stay in a generic hotel bubble, this place delivers on that promise completely.

Reviews of Basiliche Apartment
Will stay here again when coming back to Milan – Shehbaz from United Kingdom – 27 August 2025 (10/10)
The property was in a excellent area surrounded by coffee shops and food places
All round the property itself was amazing
What could be improved: NothingGood – Hayley from United Kingdom – 21 May 2025 (7/10)
Great location, clean and easy check in
What could be improved: The air conditioning did not work and only provided 1 pillow each for 4 people. It felt like we were laying so flat needed at least 2 pillows each.Very good – Joelle from Switzerland – 19 May 2025 (8/10)
Quite and location
Very good – Berthine- from Malta – 9 July 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was within walking distance to many different sites. It was clean and spacious and opposite a small park. The area was quiet. There is a bus stop within less than a 1min walk and it connects to many other transport options.
What could be improved: The air-conditioning was not powerful enough for the rooms and it was a very hot week and we could not sleep well due to the heat. The windows did not have insect screens so when we tried to open them up at night for air we got bitten by mosquitos. The smart lock took a couple of tries to figure out how it works but it was convenient for check-in and out.Great location, 10 min walk to the Duomo. Apartment a bit tight and small but did the job. – Jayme from United Kingdom – 6 May 2024 (7/10)

What could be improved: It was a bit tight and smallNice clean apartment. No fuss. – Mc from Ireland – 19 April 2024 (8/10)
Clean and good location.
What could be improved: Expensive for what it was and smallPleasant stay in a very beautiful city as Milan. – Laura from Romania – 24 February 2024 (8/10)
The location was very close to the center of Milan, near a small park. There are coffee shops nearby.
The apartment was clean and well equipped, but we didn't spend too much time inside.
What could be improved: The rooms are quite small.
The drainage of the sink in the bathroom wasn't functioning well.
There was water on the shelves of the fridge.
We found a sock under a bed, that wasn't ours.Apartment tailored for short stays, lasting few days. Good loaction for getting around the downtown. – Shpendi from Albania – 30 November 2023 (8/10)
Location good, short distance to Duomo and Metro. It takes s stroll to reach these destinations and others in the downtown area.
What could be improved: Getting access to apartment by means of v-keys didn't work for me. The description of the procedures for unlocking and locking the door/gate was not easy to understand, should be written better. It quotes door handle instead of lock device.Good – Stefan from Romania – 3 October 2023 (7/10)
Good location. Clean.
What could be improved: No mosquito net, AC not working at a good capacity to make the room comfortable enough (it was too hot).Very enjoyable – Kirsten from United Kingdom – 9 August 2023 (7/10)
Very modern and clean
What could be improved: Smaller than expected
