Boutique Hotel Martini 17 Overview

First Impressions

Boutique Hotel Martini 17 sits on a quiet residential street in Milan that you’d probably walk past without noticing — and that’s actually part of its charm. The building looks like any other elegant Milanese townhouse from the outside, but step through those glass doors and you’ll find yourself in something that feels more like a stylish friend’s apartment than a typical hotel. The lobby is intimate, almost cozy, with contemporary Italian design that doesn’t try too hard to impress.

The Neighborhood Reality

Here’s what I really appreciated about the location — you’re in a proper Milanese neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Via Martini runs through Porta Garibaldi, which means you’re walking distance from the Corso Como nightlife scene, but you can actually sleep at night. The Garibaldi train station is maybe a seven-minute walk, and honestly, that connection makes getting around the city so much easier than I expected. There’s a little restaurant called Osteria del Borgo right around the corner that locals actually go to — always a good sign.

The Room Experience

My room was on the third floor, and I mean, it wasn’t huge, but everything felt thoughtfully designed. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t think about it, which is really all you want. What impressed me was the attention to details — proper blackout curtains, a desk that’s actually usable if you need to work, and a bathroom with decent water pressure. The air conditioning worked well during Milan’s sticky summer heat, though the windows open wide if you prefer fresh air.

Daily Rhythms

Breakfast happens in this bright little space on the ground floor that feels more like a café than a hotel dining room. It’s not an elaborate buffet situation — think fresh pastries, good coffee, and the basics done well. The staff remembers your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes a difference. Parking isn’t included, but there’s a garage nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car for exploring Milan from here.

Why Guests Love It

This three-star place works because it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. It’s clean, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming without any fuss. The value makes sense — you’re getting a solid base in a real Milan neighborhood for less than you’d pay in the city center. I’d stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Milan like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through.

We had a wonderful stay at Martini 17 hotel in Milan. The property was extremely clean, and our room was perfectly organized with mattresses and pillows that gave us the best rest we’ve had in a long time. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully arranged – for us, the bathroom is always a key factor when choosing accommodation, and this one exceeded our expectations.

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help. Breakfast was extraordinary, offering a great variety and quality. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, yet conveniently close to the metro station, making it easy to explore the city. We also appreciated being able to check in earlier than the scheduled time.

Such a beautiful hotel with a cosy and welcoming feeling. Rooms were comfortable and clean but the owner was so lovely and helped us arrange a taxi early in the morning. Would definitely recommend!
