Casa Sarpi Overview

First Impressions

Casa Sarpi sits on one of Milan’s most interesting streets — via Paolo Sarpi is basically Milan’s Chinatown, which means you’re surrounded by authentic dim sum spots and late-night noodle joints instead of tourist traps. The hotel itself is this converted townhouse that feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than your typical three-star property. I mean, the entrance is understated in that effortlessly Italian way, but once you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about every detail.

The Neighborhood Advantage

Here’s what I love about this location — you’re in Sempione, which puts you walking distance from Parco Sempione and the Castello Sforzesco, but you’re also on this vibrant street that locals actually use. You know what’s great? You can grab proper Chinese breakfast downstairs, then walk fifteen minutes to see Da Vinci’s Last Supper. The Garibaldi train station is close too, so if you’re doing day trips or connecting to Malpensa, it’s actually pretty seamless.

The Room Experience

The rooms here aren’t huge — this is Milan, after all — but they’re thoughtfully designed with clean lines and surprisingly good lighting. Each room has this minimalist aesthetic that feels contemporary without being cold, and honestly, the beds are more comfortable than I expected for this price point. The bathrooms are compact but functional, with good water pressure (trust me, this matters after long days of walking around Milan). There’s decent storage space too, which you don’t always get in boutique properties.

Food and Practical Matters

There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, but breakfast is served in this cozy ground-floor space that doubles as a lounge area. It’s continental style — good coffee, fresh pastries, the usual suspects — but the real advantage is stepping outside where you’ve got incredible food options literally at your doorstep. The staff can point you toward the best spots, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to give useful recommendations beyond the obvious choices.

Why Guests Love It

Casa Sarpi works because it gives you that boutique hotel experience without the boutique hotel prices, and the location is genuinely special if you want to experience Milan beyond the fashion district. You’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re staying somewhere with real character and local flavor. The staff is helpful without being overly formal, and there’s this relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to hang out in the common areas rather than just crash in your room.

Reviews of Casa Sarpi

  • Exceptional – Chiara from United Kingdom – 10 November 2025 (10/10)

We rented to stay near family. Excellent value for money, pleasant small apartment but well equipped, plenty of natural light. Near to everything. Thanks !

  • Very good – Anthony from France – 31 October 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: L'insonorisation, on entend fortement les voisins.

  • Very good – Anastasios from Greece – 29 October 2025 (8/10)

Great location, easy to move in and out, close to trams and night bus for train station to Malpensa airport.
    Communication with the host.
Comfortable for a family. Spacious and sunny.

What could be improved: The bathroom facilities could be in a bit better condition.
The heater was a bit noisy during the night.

  • Very good – Arietti from Italy – 22 October 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Que alrededor es todo comercio chino

  • Superb – Alexandra from Italy – 28 September 2025 (9/10)

  • The best choice – Alexandra from Austria – 12 September 2025 (10/10)

It's rare for a place to truly impress me, but this one did. Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Starting our trip through Italy here was simply the best decision. Everything is so thoughtfully arranged — there's absolutely everything you might need, and even more. We loved it!
Thanks to the windows facing the courtyard, it was perfectly quiet. The bathroom has all the essentials for a comfortable stay, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Special thanks for the coffee and the moka pot — we started each day with a cup of espresso and in a great mood.
The host also gave very clear instructions on how to find the apartment, so we had no trouble at all with check-in — everything went smoothly.
And for this price, it's almost impossible to find such a wonderful place. We're absolutely delighted!

What could be improved: It was the best choice!

  • Superb – David from Spain – 1 August 2025 (9/10)

  • Pleasant – Andrej from Slovakia – 7 July 2025 (6/10)

    Good location, easy communication

What could be improved: air conditioning was very weak, we couldn´t sleep, but we understand that temps are very high these days, but still it should coold down at least more than it did

  • Poor – Aikaterini from Greece – 19 June 2025 (3/10)

The location was great and the host was super friendly.

What could be improved: the room was not clean at all. there were hair everywhere on the floor. the bathroom hadn't been cleaned from the previous users.

  • Very good – Iwona from Poland – 4 June 2025 (8/10)

Jeśli chodzi o kwaterę, jest wszystko co potrzebne, klimatyzator, pralka, zmywarka, lodówka.W łazience środki do kąpieli, suszarka itp.Z mieszkania wychodzi się prosto do alejki mnóstwa barów ( alejka chińska).Do centrum około 10 przystanków tramwajowych ( nikt tutaj nie kupuje biletów).
