CAV2 [Loreto – Duomo] Apartment Central Of Milan • Overview

First Impressions

CAV2 [Loreto – Duomo] Apartment Central Of Milan sits on Via Guido Cavalcanti, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking — which is actually perfect for this kind of stay. It’s tucked into a typical Milanese residential building, the kind where locals actually live, not just another tourist trap. The three-star rating tells you what to expect: clean, functional, and refreshingly unpretentious in a city that can feel pretty show-offy.

The Neighborhood Reality

Here’s what I really appreciated about the location — you’re genuinely in Milan, not some sanitized hotel district. The Loreto area has this authentic residential vibe with neighborhood bars where you’ll hear more Italian than English. You know what’s great? The metro connection is solid, so getting to the Duomo takes maybe 15 minutes, but you can escape back to somewhere that feels real. There’s a decent supermarket around the corner, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying in an apartment.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s more of a studio setup — does what it promises without any fancy flourishes. You get a proper bed, a small table where you can actually work or eat, and a compact kitchen area that’s functional enough for making coffee and simple meals. I mean, don’t expect to cook elaborate dinners, but having that option beats hotel breakfast prices every time. The bathroom is tight but perfectly adequate, with decent water pressure that honestly surprised me.

What Works (and What Doesn’t)

The building itself shows its age — this isn’t some sleek modern development, and the elevator is one of those tiny European ones that fits maybe two people and a suitcase. But the apartment itself is clean and well-maintained, with decent WiFi that actually works for video calls. Parking isn’t included, which you should know upfront — street parking here can be a bit of a hunt, though there are paid lots nearby if you’re driving.

Why It Makes Sense

Look, this place won’t wow you with amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors, but it delivers something more valuable — an authentic slice of Milan living without the premium hotel markup. The 7.2 rating feels about right; it’s solid and reliable rather than spectacular. If you want to experience the city like someone who actually lives here, rather than bouncing between tourist sites from a fancy lobby, CAV2 gives you that chance. Plus, when you factor in the kitchen savings and the genuine neighborhood feel, it’s actually pretty smart value for Milan.

Exploring Milan blends Renaissance art heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour lights.

Reviews of CAV2 [Loreto – Duomo] Apartment Central Of Milan •

  • Exceptional – Nodirbek from Germany – 1 November 2025 (10/10)

Very helpful staff, good location and the apartment itself was great

  • Good – Veronica from Sweden – 10 July 2025 (8/10)

Close to the station and easy to navigate with public transportation. Friendly welcome when getting info about the digital key.

What could be improved: Hard pillows, no dish brush and very little shampoo/showergel

  • A good apartment that I would stay at again if I returned to Milan – Kate from United Kingdom – 1 May 2025 (7/10)

This property is well located and in a safe area of Milan. It was clean and secure.

What could be improved: A few suggestions for improvement:
Provide a shower mat to stop the bathroom flooding after use
Provide a cloth to wipe dishes after they have been washed
Pillows are worn out and could use being replaced
A kettle to boil water would be helpful

  • Passable – Kate from Malta – 18 April 2025 (5/10)

Location ok, host immediately answered questions, smart digital key system. Beds were comfy.

What could be improved: We were charged 5€ per backpack before check in, as it was too early and wanted to leave bags. In the bedroom & bathroom was no curtains, outside lights too bright, noise from bar below, cocker struggling to switch on, No kettle or coffee maker at all.

  • I Highly Recommend it – Mariño from Venezuela – 2 April 2025 (10/10)

Excellent location. The apartment is in very good condition, has everything you need, and is quite cozy. The bathroom is spotless. It's very close to Milan Centrale station and has several restaurants nearby. I highly recommend it.

  • Great 👍 recommend – Anastasia from Ukraine – 17 January 2025 (10/10)

Very clean, big spacious with new decorations and furniture. Lovely apartment for small family

  • Very good – Katia from Greece – 21 August 2024 (8/10)

    Near train station and metro

  • Happy to stay here again when visiting Italy – Anis from United Kingdom – 30 June 2024 (10/10)

I’m happy about location is convenient to walk straight from the Central Station, it took only 15 minutes, feels safe as well walking around the neighbourhood. The key collection is also straight forward. The apartment is also good enough for me, the bed is comfy, hot shower is provided. Overall I’m satisfied

What could be improved: The bedroom doesn’t have the curtains so during night time, the street light went straight into the bedroom, the shower drain slowly drained the water on the first day. About the stove, could have put some instructions to use it. So far these are just the main concerns.

  • Very very good – Gujjar from Pakistan – 6 June 2024 (8/10)

Very good place Very good boss behaviour is very good very copretive

What could be improved: Very good

  • Itis a great value for money. Top location. System used for entry to the building and the apartment is the only problem. – Vasil from Bulgaria – 1 June 2024 (7/10)

The location is terrific. It is close to the subway, Milano Centrale is just 10 minutes away.

What could be improved: The system used to enter the building and the apartment is too complicated and creates confusion.
