CAV2 [Loreto – Duomo] Apartment Central Of Milan • Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to CAV2 [Loreto – Duomo] Apartment Central Of Milan • feels more like arriving at a friend’s stylish Milan pied-à-terre than checking into a typical hotel. This four-star property sits on Via Guido Cavalcanti, and honestly, the building itself has that understated Milanese elegance you see throughout the city’s residential neighborhoods. The entrance is discreet — no flashy signage or doormen — which I actually appreciated since it gives you that authentic local living experience from the moment you arrive.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is genuinely exceptional, and I mean that in the most practical sense. You’re positioned perfectly between two of Milan’s most important areas — close enough to the Duomo that you can walk there in about fifteen minutes, but tucked into a residential pocket that feels authentically Milanese. The Loreto area has this great mix of local cafés, small shops, and tree-lined streets that tourists rarely discover. I noticed couples seem particularly drawn to this spot (they rate the location 8.7 apparently), and I get why — there’s something romantic about having your own apartment-style space in such a well-connected yet intimate part of the city.
The Apartment Experience
What sets CAV2 apart is that you’re not staying in a hotel room — you’re essentially living in a Milan apartment for however long you’re there. The space feels residential rather than commercial, with proper living areas and kitchen facilities that actually make sense to use. I found myself making morning coffee in the kitchen and planning my day from the living room, which created this nice rhythm that’s impossible to replicate in a standard hotel. The furnishings strike that sweet spot between modern comfort and Italian style without trying too hard to impress.
Getting Around Milan
Here’s where the location really shines — you’ve got excellent public transport connections that locals use daily. The metro access means you can reach Milan’s fashion district, business areas, or major attractions without the hassle of navigating traffic or expensive taxi rides. But honestly, some of my best discoveries happened just wandering the immediate neighborhood on foot. There are these little family-run restaurants and aperitivo spots within a few blocks that you’d never find if you were staying in the more touristy central areas.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you space to actually live in Milan rather than just visit it. The apartment setup means you can spread out, cook a meal if you want, or simply enjoy having separate areas for different parts of your day. Couples especially seem to appreciate having this kind of private, residential base — I can see how it would feel more intimate than a hotel corridor situation. The neighborhood location (which scores 8.4 for good reason) puts you right in that sweet spot where you feel like a temporary local while still being perfectly positioned to explore everything Milan offers.
Exploring Milan blends Renaissance art heritage, UNESCO landmarks, and vibrant neighborhoods glowing with golden-hour lights.

Good – Veronica from Sweden – 10 July 2025 (8/10)
Close to the station and easy to navigate with public transportation. Friendly welcome when getting info about the digital key.
What could be improved: Hard pillows, no dish brush and very little shampoo/showergelA good apartment that I would stay at again if I returned to Milan – Kate from United Kingdom – 1 May 2025 (7/10)
This property is well located and in a safe area of Milan. It was clean and secure.
What could be improved: A few suggestions for improvement:
Provide a shower mat to stop the bathroom flooding after use
Provide a cloth to wipe dishes after they have been washed
Pillows are worn out and could use being replaced
A kettle to boil water would be helpfulPassable – Kate from Malta – 18 April 2025 (5/10)
Location ok, host immediately answered questions, smart digital key system. Beds were comfy.
What could be improved: We were charged 5€ per backpack before check in, as it was too early and wanted to leave bags. In the bedroom & bathroom was no curtains, outside lights too bright, noise from bar below, cocker struggling to switch on, No kettle or coffee maker at all.I Highly Recommend it – Mariño from Venezuela – 2 April 2025 (10/10)
Excellent location. The apartment is in very good condition, has everything you need, and is quite cozy. The bathroom is spotless. It's very close to Milan Centrale station and has several restaurants nearby. I highly recommend it.
Great 👍 recommend – Anastasia from Ukraine – 17 January 2025 (10/10)

Happy to stay here again when visiting Italy – Anis from United Kingdom – 30 June 2024 (10/10)
I’m happy about location is convenient to walk straight from the Central Station, it took only 15 minutes, feels safe as well walking around the neighbourhood. The key collection is also straight forward. The apartment is also good enough for me, the bed is comfy, hot shower is provided. Overall I’m satisfied
What could be improved: The bedroom doesn’t have the curtains so during night time, the street light went straight into the bedroom, the shower drain slowly drained the water on the first day. About the stove, could have put some instructions to use it. So far these are just the main concerns.Very very good – Gujjar from Pakistan – 6 June 2024 (8/10)
Very good place Very good boss behaviour is very good very copretive
What could be improved: Very goodItis a great value for money. Top location. System used for entry to the building and the apartment is the only problem. – Vasil from Bulgaria – 1 June 2024 (7/10)
The location is terrific. It is close to the subway, Milano Centrale is just 10 minutes away.
What could be improved: The system used to enter the building and the apartment is too complicated and creates confusion.
