The lobby’s all clean lines and warm wood, but it’s the kind of understated elegance that makes you think the designers actually live here themselves.

The Sempione Advantage

Here’s what I love about this spot: you’re in Sempione, which means you can walk to Parco Sempione in about ten minutes, but you’re not stuck in the tourist chaos around the Duomo. The neighborhood has this residential vibe with actual Milanese people going about their day — grabbing coffee at the corner bar, walking their dogs, complaining about the weather. Via Poliziano itself is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep at night.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was larger than I expected, honestly. Milan hotels can be cramped, but this place gives you space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The bed was proper comfortable — not too soft, not too firm — and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually works. Small detail, but the blackout curtains are the real deal, which matters when you’re dealing with jet lag.

Dining and Daily Life

The hotel restaurant serves decent Italian classics without the tourist markup you’d find closer to the center. I mean, it’s not going to change your life, but the risotto was properly creamy and they know how to make a real espresso. What I appreciated was the breakfast setup — they had both the Continental stuff and some local pastries that weren’t just there for show.

  Hotel is modern and clean, in a nice area. The rooms are comfortable. Housekeeping do a great job and the breakfast is decent. Hotel is good value for money relative to other options nearer to the city centre.
  
  What could be improved: Although the area is nice it’s a little bit far from the centre. 25 mins commute on the metro or about 40 mins walk. It’s quite manageable though.
