There’s a metro stop (Duomo) that connects you to anywhere in the city, though honestly, most of what you’ll want to see is walkable from here.

The room I stayed in was what they call a smart suite, and it actually lives up to that name. Everything’s controlled through a tablet — lights, temperature, even the blinds. It sounds gimmicky, but it’s surprisingly intuitive once you get the hang of it. The space feels modern and clean, with this sleek design that doesn’t try too hard to be trendy. What I really appreciated was the kitchenette setup — not huge, but functional enough to store some groceries from the Esselunga down the street.

They’re genuinely helpful with recommendations, and I got some solid tips about where to grab aperitivo that weren’t the usual tourist traps. There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, but there’s a decent breakfast spread, and honestly, you’re in Milan — you want to be eating out anyway. The building has this nice blend of historic character with updated everything, so you get those high ceilings and original details without dealing with ancient plumbing.

  10 minutes walk to duomo. The cafe they sent you to for breakfast is a very warm and cozy place. The breakfast isn't bad either.

  What could be improved: Lifting the luggage from the front entrance is comfortable. I do understand how noisy it can be if the luggage is not lifted, but maybe the host can provide a cart to transport luggage. It is hard for big or heavy luggage.
