Corso Magenta runs straight through Milan’s historic center, so you can walk to the Duomo in about 15 minutes if you’re feeling energetic. The Cadorna station is practically around the corner, which means you can hop on the Malpensa Express to the airport without dragging your luggage across the city. There’s a small grocery store two blocks down and a decent coffee bar right next door where locals grab their morning espresso.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully laid out — think modern efficiency rather than spacious comfort. Everything you need is there: a decent bed, a small desk, and a surprisingly well-equipped kitchenette with a mini-fridge and basic cookware. The bathroom is tiny but functional, and the shower actually has good water pressure (not always a given in older Milan buildings). The best part? Large windows that let in plenty of natural light, which makes even the smaller rooms feel less cramped.

Practical Perks

What sets this place apart from typical budget hotels is the attention to practical details. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, there’s a small laundry area on each floor, and they provide decent coffee pods for the in-room machine. Parking isn’t included, but there’s a public garage about three blocks away — and honestly, you won’t need a car in this neighborhood anyway. The front desk staff speaks solid English and Italian, and they’re genuinely helpful with restaurant recommendations and metro directions.

  Having stayed at a dirty apartment for the preceding 3 nights with an unresponsive host, staying here was a breath of fresh air. All arrival instructions were good, keys were easy to access. Apartment was immaculate with nice touches like a cleaning pack. Well equipped and comfortable. Location is good. I couldn't recommend them more based on what I have already seen in Milan. They had water supplied in the room which was a plus.

  What could be improved: It was very hot and the AC did not cool the room down after 3 days of it left on. We asked for a portable fan however was denied and said leave the AC on. I can see in the reviews this is an ongoing issue for 2 years which they claimed to have fix. They also left us only 1 toilet paper to use and said we needed to go and buy more when we asked for more. That seems very cheap of them for the price already paid.

  This unit is in a very nicely kept building with secure gates and entrances. It is also within close walking distance to the M1 stop Conciliazione. The hosts are responsive and accommodating. After I informed the host that the A/C was broken, they were able to switch me to a new unit with functioning A/C. Unfortunately this was on the last night of my stay, so I had already spent 3 nights without the comfort I had hoped.
  
  What could be improved: The A/C was broken upon my arrival, but at first I thought it was just struggling to cool the room. Eventually I realized that the A/C was truly not working because it would be colder outside or in the hallway than in the room. Give the price of the unit, this was disappointing.
