IMHOME – Dante Overview
First Impressions
IMHOME – Dante sits on a quiet cobblestone street that feels like old Milan — you know, before the fashion crowds took over everything. Walking up to this four-star place, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the understated entrance, but that’s sort of the point. It’s tucked away on Via Rovello where you can actually hear yourself think, which is pretty rare when you’re this close to the Duomo.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a five-minute walk from La Scala and the cathedral, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your door. The neighborhood has that authentic Milanese vibe with locals grabbing their morning coffee and old bookshops that have been there forever. There’s this little restaurant around the corner (I think it’s called Osteria del Borgo) where the owner will actually remember your name if you go twice.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment setup here is what really sets IMHOME apart from your typical hotel stay. Each unit feels like you’re borrowing a friend’s well-designed place rather than camping out in a generic hotel room. The kitchen actually works — I mean, you can cook a proper meal, not just heat up leftovers. The design is clean and modern without being cold, with these nice touches like local art and books about Milan scattered around.
Practical Comforts
What struck me most was how everything just works smoothly. The Wi-Fi is fast enough for video calls (tested it multiple times), the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and the shower pressure is actually decent. Parking in this part of Milan is a nightmare, but they’ll point you toward a garage that’s not completely overpriced. The staff knows the area inside and out — they gave me directions to a fabric market I never would’ve found on my own.
Why Guests Love It
I get why this place scores an 8.2 with travelers. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Milan rather than just visiting. You can make your own breakfast, duck home for an afternoon break between museum visits, and actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. Plus, when you tell locals you’re staying on Via Rovello, they nod approvingly — it means you did your homework and found something real rather than just booking the first place near the train station.

Reviews of IMHOME – Dante
Very good – Rachel from United Kingdom – 11 November 2025 (8/10)
Quiet, central location, and two bathrooms!
What could be improved: One saucepan and one shower never got hot enough.Very good – Linda from Switzerland – 9 November 2025 (8/10)
Very central location and very quiet. Ideal appartement for two people.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the sofa bed was uncomfortable and every movement was loud.
There were kitchen towels missing.Lovely stay in perfect location! – Hannah from United Kingdom – 5 October 2025 (9/10)
Great location – so easy to walk everywhere including train stations and Navigli area. Both beds were comfortable and good bathroom facilities. Lovely balcony! Lots of restaurants nearby including Brera area. Easy communication and felt very safe and secure. Perfect stay for a group!
What could be improved: Not enough toiletries provided including toilet roll! Quite a small space but works!!Excellent location with easy access to get every where by foot or train. – Nishaanthan from Australia – 18 September 2025 (9/10)
The location was excellent. Very central close to all the main attractions, restaurants, cafes and bars. Very secure property with good facilities within as well. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Milan. Very close to 3 metro stations as well.
What could be improved: The AC was set but rooms were a bit warm and we were unable to change the temperature.Lovely clean apartment – Heather from United Kingdom – 13 September 2025 (9/10)

The hairdryer didnt work
We couldn't work the air-conditioningBeautiful new apartment in a very central location. – Jon from United States – 2 September 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful, well appointed apartment in a central location. Just a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and 5 minutes to the castle.
What could be improved: The shower leakes on the floor in the bathroom. It's a great shower, everything in the apartment is new. Not sure why the shower leaks so much. Had to use towels to mop up the floor. Other than that it was a perfect place to stay.An excellent place to stay for a quiet but central location with easy access to Milan’s main sights – Karen from United Kingdom – 26 August 2025 (9/10)
The location was excellent . Very central and quiet – good access to cafes and restaurants and the main city sights . Very comfortable and straightforward arrival access .
What could be improved: There was nothing we didn’t like . The kitchen could have been better equipped but we were not cooking meals so it didn’t matter to us that there was too little crockery for 3plus .Very good – Straveller from United Kingdom – 24 August 2025 (8/10)
Location is in a great place for easy walking through the centre. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus for 2 families. It was a clean apartment.
What could be improved: The shower head needs fixing-only hand-held was working. There was a lack of glasses-only 2- in a place for 6 people.Very good – Hutton from Australia – 29 July 2025 (8/10)
The apartments were modern, spacious, comfortable and lovely to stay in. The kitchen was good, and the coffee machine was great. The shower was amazing, and the bathroom was very spacious. The location was unbeatable, right on the main strip of shops and restaurants !
What could be improved: Getting into the property was complicated due to needing to pay the city tax online using a link sent to me from the apartment through booking .com. I thought this was quite suspicious, given I was sent multiple suspicious links in the week prior also from the apartment through booking .com, telling me to submit my credit card details to pay, or my booking would be cancelled, but I had already paid for the apartment months prior. I deemed these messages as suspicious and did not click on the link. This made me question paying the city tax online using a link sent in the same chat, how this was a real message, and was needed to be completed before I was sent the pin to enter the buildingSuperb – Stacey from Australia – 24 June 2025 (9/10)
Location was 10/10. 2 bathrooms was perfect. Washing machine/ dryer was a perfect bonus.
What could be improved: If I’m being picky the sofa bed was very uncomfortable
