MI HOME NAVIGLI – ZONA TORTONA Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to MI HOME NAVIGLI – ZONA TORTONA, you immediately get why this three-star place has such stellar reviews. It’s tucked into Via Savona in a way that feels residential rather than touristy — honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance. The building itself has that understated Milanese charm, nothing flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into making it feel welcoming.
The Navigli Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Navigli — you’re right in the heart of Milan’s most vibrant district without the chaos of the city center. The canals are literally a few minutes’ walk away, and once evening hits, the whole area transforms into this incredible dining and nightlife scene. During the day, it’s surprisingly quiet and residential, which means you actually get some sleep (something I definitely can’t say about hotels closer to Duomo).
The Apartment Setup
What really sets MI HOME NAVIGLI apart is that you’re getting an actual apartment rather than just a hotel room. My unit had a proper kitchen with everything you’d need — coffee maker, stovetop, even a decent-sized fridge. The living area felt genuinely comfortable, not like those sterile hotel spaces where you perch on the edge of furniture. I mean, I actually found myself cooking breakfast a few mornings instead of heading out, which never happens when I travel.
Local Insights
The staff here actually know the neighborhood — and I don’t mean they just hand you a generic map. When I asked about dinner recommendations, they steered me away from the obvious canal-side spots (which are fine, but touristy) toward this incredible little restaurant about three blocks over. They also sorted out parking for me, which in this part of Milan is honestly worth its weight in gold. The zona is well-connected by tram, so you can reach the fashion district or Brera without much hassle.
Why Guests Love It
Look, MI HOME NAVIGLI isn’t trying to be something it’s not — there’s no spa or marble lobby or anything like that. What it does offer is that rare combination of space, location, and genuine local character that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Milan for a few days rather than just passing through. The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it delivers exactly what modern travelers want: authentic neighborhood vibes, practical amenities, and enough space to breathe. Plus, you know what? Waking up in Navigli and grabbing coffee from the local bar downstairs beats any hotel breakfast buffet I’ve encountered.

в целом, все было отлично! – Anna from Russia – 4 May 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: нам немного нахватало СВЧ (подогреть что-то), нормального ножа порезать что-то.
в ванной немного плохо проходила вода в душе, но это, наверное, особенность города (не квартиры)Great place to stay and a great city, I would highly recommend – Edward from United Kingdom – 3 December 2024 (10/10)
Location was great. Apartment was a great size and the shower is amazing

Host was on time, and check in was very quick. The room was nice, clean and neat and tidy. Beds were comfy. It met our expectations. It was very central and close to public transportation. We loved it.
What could be improved: Nothing.Very good – Francesco from Italy – 15 July 2024 (8/10)
Host was accomodating and helpful in finding the place and waiting in order to hand out the keys. Wide room and comfortable space.
What could be improved: The house is within a bigger building and the surroundings are not that nice. It is difficult to find the entrance if someone doesn't show you the first time.Very good! – Edoardo from Italy – 22 October 2023 (8/10)
The apartment was all new, facilities worked perfectly and the location is great, right next to tram 14 that takes you straight to Duomo.
What could be improved: The shared wall with the other room was thin so you can hear a lot from the other room of the BnB.
