Palazzo Buenos Aires Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Palazzo Buenos Aires, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical business hotel. The name might throw you off — honestly, I wondered about the Buenos Aires reference too — but this four-star property in Milan has its own distinctive character that grows on you. The lobby feels intimate rather than grand, with warm lighting and contemporary Italian touches that hint at the thoughtful design throughout.
The Neighborhood Experience
Here’s what I really appreciate about the location on Via Pecchio Giuseppe — you’re in a proper Milanese residential area, not some touristy bubble. The Porta Garibaldi district has this great mix of locals grabbing morning coffee and creative types heading to nearby studios. You can actually walk to Corso Buenos Aires (ah, now the name makes sense) in about ten minutes, which is perfect for serious shopping without the Quadrilatero della Moda prices.
The Room
My room surprised me with how much natural light it got, considering we’re talking about Milan’s dense urban landscape. The design leans modern but not stark — think clean lines with pops of color and Italian marble in the bathroom. What struck me most was the attention to practical details: plenty of outlets where you actually need them, blackout curtains that work properly, and a desk setup that’s genuinely usable if you need to get work done.
Dining and Amenities
The restaurant serves breakfast that goes beyond the usual continental spread — they do proper Italian pastries and surprisingly good coffee (which matters more than you might think in a city where locals are particular about their espresso). I mean, you’re not going to spend your evenings here when Milan’s food scene is calling, but it’s solid for starting your day. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to point you toward the kind of local spots guidebooks miss.
Why Guests Love It
What works about Palazzo Buenos Aires is how it feels authentically Milanese without trying too hard. You’ll hear Italian conversations in the elevator, and the front desk staff treats you more like a temporary neighbor than a tourist passing through. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you consider it’s not about flashy amenities — it’s about getting the fundamentals right in a city where location and local knowledge matter more than marble lobbies.
Best hotels in Milan blend rooftop terraces, contemporary Italian style, and traditional Milanese breakfast spreads.

Good location, nice breakfast, firm but comfortable bed, quiet and restful sleep. – Chris from United Kingdom – 2 October 2025 (9/10)
Good location, near to Loreto Metro station or about a 40 minute walk to old town/Duomo. Central train station about 15 minute walk. Reasonable choice of restaurants/bars within walking distance. Good self-service buffet breakfast (ham, cheese, cereal, scrambled egg, nice coffee). Friendly and helpful reception staff. The room was a good size and was quiet even though we were on the street side.
What could be improved: I often wonder if hotel room designers have ever stayed in a hotel. The washbasin was in the room (understandbly, the bathroom may have been too small to fit it in). But there was no shelf or countertop around the sink for washbags, toiletries etc. Also, the two hooks to hang towels on in the bathroom were too close together so there was no chance of towels drying – a double towel rail is needed (and not necessarily a heated one)Nice clean and modern – Cary from United States – 2 October 2025 (10/10)
Location and modern and clean
What could be improved: No remote control for tv in my roomReally enjoyable with very friendly staff – except for the older woman who was often in the front re – Tracy from Australia – 30 September 2025 (8/10)
Breakfast was very nice and staff very attentive
What could be improved: Rooms are very small – I was own my own and not sure how we would have managed with luggage if my husband was with me
