PrimoPiano – Pistrucci Overview
First Impressions
Walking into PrimoPiano – Pistrucci, you immediately get that boutique vibe — it’s intimate without being cramped, stylish without trying too hard. The building sits on a quiet residential street in the Porta Vittoria area, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this part of Milan at first. But you know what? This four-star place turned out to be exactly what I needed after dealing with the chaos around Centrale station all day.
The Neighborhood Reality
Porta Vittoria isn’t the glossy Brera district that everyone talks about, but that’s actually a good thing. You’re still close enough to the action — about 15 minutes on the metro to Duomo — but the streets here have this authentic Milanese feel. There’s a proper local market just around the corner where you’ll hear more Italian than English, and the bars nearby serve aperitivo without the tourist markup. The area’s got character, even if it’s not Instagram-perfect.
The Space Itself
My room had this smart, minimalist design that felt very Milan — clean lines, quality materials, nothing unnecessary cluttering the space. The bathroom was compact but well thought out, and I mean, the shower pressure was actually decent (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in European hotels). What impressed me most was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets in the right places, blackout curtains that actually worked.
Practical Considerations
The staff here really knows their stuff about Milan — not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to find good food that locals actually eat. They helped me figure out the metro system without making me feel like an idiot, which I appreciated. Parking can be arranged if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably don’t want to deal with a car in this city. The breakfast situation is solid — nothing fancy, but fresh pastries and proper coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours.
Why Guests Love It
Look, PrimoPiano – Pistrucci isn’t trying to compete with those massive hotels near the cathedral, and that’s exactly why it works. You get personal service, a genuine Milan neighborhood experience, and a place that feels like a home base rather than just somewhere to crash. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually relax after spending the day navigating crowds at La Scala or getting lost in the fashion district — and trust me, you will get lost at least once.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Milan around Porta Romana for vintage markets, trattoria spots, and tree-lined avenues.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – Pistrucci
nice, well-located apartment – Sarah from Germany – 2 November 2025 (7/10)
Nice apartment, and entry was easy. Fold-out bed was decently comfortable.
What could be improved: You cannot control the heat, so the apartment was a bit cold. Also the iron didn't work, and the wine opener was broken.Lovely – Mara from Romania – 12 August 2025 (9/10)
We really enjoyed the vibe of the accommodation, very cosy and familiar. We loved the fact that it had mosquitoe nets attached to the windows, as the season we visited in was quite unpleasant from this point of view.
What could be improved: It was quite a walk to the city center, but definitely not too far away. Also, the bathtub was quite hard to be used considering the incline if the ceilingVery good – Mark from Armenia – 14 March 2025 (8/10)
Good place, easy self check in, no issues with facilities.
What could be improved: All was good, the only issue was that you need to take shower seated and with one hand, or only take bath. I think the bath can be reconstructed.Great overall and I would it again. – Omar from Canada – 7 November 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: BathtubExcellent – Daisy from United Kingdom – 19 September 2024 (9/10)
We loved this property! Very clean and such a lovely space in a good location.
What could be improved: The shower is the only downside to this property, we had to shower crouched down and my partner is very tall so this was a little uncomfortable for him.Good – Ag from Poland – 10 September 2024 (7/10)
Great location, well-equipped kitchen, good hairdryer, great water pressure in the bathroom, and the self check-in is super convenient.
What could be improved: I stayed in the apartment for the weekend, and unfortunately, you can't reach PrimoPiano during the weekend. I didn’t have WiFi for my entire stay, and there was no one to help me with it. I don't even want to think about what would have happened if the self-check-in hadn't worked so make sure to stay there at least one bussines dayI loved the apartment it was clean, good location and very practical. – Pamela from Hungary – 10 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment had everything one would need, felt like a home. Proximity to the bus, restaurants and shops.
What could be improved: I didn’t like the shower as it’s a bathtub and one can’t just have a normal shower.10/10 accommodation – Svoboda from Slovakia – 22 June 2024 (10/10)
Everything was Clean and nice, there also were many plants. Equipped kitchen. Everything needed even for a longer stay. I would definitely choose it again.
Nice stay – Bianca from Romania – 25 October 2023 (9/10)
The location, it was cozy, the temperature inside was good, it has all utilities you need for a confortable stay.
What could be improved: It is at the forth floor, it was a bit difficult to climb the stairs with a stroller and a baby😅
The fact that is in the attic, has that inclined wall that is not to good for tall people’s backSuperb – Milan from Serbia – 25 October 2023 (9/10)
In general, everything was ok. Relatively good location. We used the apartment for 3 days just to sleep, so everything was great for us. I can recommend the apartment provider. Communication was fast and accurate.
What could be improved: A small observation, the bathtub / area for showering is inconvenient to use because it is an attic and the height of the slope is 1m, so it is possible to shower in a bent position
