PrimoPiano – RG26 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into PrimoPiano – RG26 feels more like visiting a stylish friend’s apartment than checking into a hotel — and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. This apartment-style accommodation sits on a tree-lined street that feels properly Milanese, you know what I mean? The kind of neighborhood where locals actually live, not just where tourists pass through.
Location & Getting Around
The location on Viale Regina Giovanna puts you in a sweet spot that most visitors to Milan never discover. You’re close enough to reach the Duomo in about 20 minutes by metro, but far enough out that you’ll pay reasonable prices for coffee and actually hear Italian being spoken around you. The Porta Garibaldi area is walkable from here — I’d say about 15 minutes if you’re not dragging heavy luggage.
The Space Itself
What you get is essentially a well-designed studio that doesn’t try too hard to feel hotel-like. The kitchenette is compact but functional — perfect for making morning coffee or storing those Italian pastries you’ll inevitably buy too many of. The room has this clean, modern aesthetic without being sterile, and the bed is actually comfortable (something you can’t always count on with three-star places in Milan, trust me).
Practical Matters
Here’s what I appreciate about staying here — it’s straightforward without any pretense. The Wi-Fi works properly, the shower has decent water pressure, and there’s enough storage space for a week’s worth of clothes. Parking isn’t included, but honestly, you don’t want a car in Milan anyway. The building itself is quiet, which matters when you’re trying to recover from jet lag or those long days wandering around the fashion district.
Why Guests Love It
Look, PrimoPiano – RG26 isn’t going to wow you with fancy amenities or a concierge who knows your name. What it does is give you a clean, comfortable base in a real Milan neighborhood at a price that won’t make you wince. The 7.5 rating makes sense — it’s solid without being spectacular, reliable without being boring. If you’re the type of traveler who values authentic location over lobby marble, this place actually delivers something worthwhile.
To book a hotel in Milan during opera season, visitors plan ahead to balance La Scala performances with quiet Navigli canal strolls.

Reviews of PrimoPiano – RG26
Very good – Gamille from Italy – 13 November 2025 (8/10)
I liked the location the room everything
What could be improved: Problem is no elevator 🥹 it was hard to set up the heaterVery good – Gastón from Argentina – 26 October 2025 (8/10)
Everything was spotless — clean, tidy, and well organized. The apartment is fully equipped.
nice – Огњен from Serbia – 16 September 2025 (7/10)
Neighbourhood was very nice, location good, check in was easy (we checked in at 2am). Bed was ok, enough space, AC was too strong (great). Had an iron (very much needed). Pretty safe building with 2 gates.
What could be improved: Not really an issue, but the shower was 60cm*60cm, it was funny getting in, but we could shower fine and im 193cm and 110kg.Superb – Raisa from Romania – 22 June 2025 (9/10)
The room was clean and we had everything we needed, plus the location was great too. Very close to many restaurants and bars and just a few stations away from the cathedral.
What could be improved: The shower was small. Me and my boyfriend are both short, however it could be an issue for someone else.A nice place to stay if you are a tourist and spending most time of your day outdoors. – Maryna from Ukraine – 8 April 2025 (9/10)
The property is small but somehow they fit everything needed and even more inside 🙂 all the appliances work great (I didn’t try the washing machine though). There are couple wardrobes, where you can put your things, there will be enough space.
There were good towels, shampoo, dishsoap, a dishwashing sponge. Cutlery and plates, couple pots and pans, couple glasses were also there. The location is great: you have a tram line here (2 trams) just in front of the house. Walking to the railway as well as to the downtown doesn’t take long time. Many bakeries, restaurants and cafes are located in close surroundings.
What could be improved: The view is not the best, but it worked for me. The walls need a renewal of a painting. Once I came inside the apartment the air was very humid inside, so consider letting fresh air inside very often. The size of the cabin is 60*60cm please consider this. Sometimes I touched the cold doors of the cabin unwillingly while taking shower)) The Team warned me in advance about it so please pay attention.Very good – Elliot from Australia – 14 December 2024 (8/10)
This property was located in a good location close to a tram stop and within walking distance to the centre of Milan and the Duomo.
What could be improved: The shower was ridiculously small. If you are a large person, you will struggle to fit inside.Superb – Aļona from Latvia – 21 November 2023 (9/10)
It is easy to get from central station by tram and to city center by metro. Walking distance to central station and city center ~30 min. The key to flat in box, information about how to get a key is sent 1 day before.
The flat is equipped with stove, microwave oven, washing machine. Near the flat is supermarket.
The radiator is turning on with remote.
What could be improved: The shower stall is very narrow – very little spaceSuperb – Nikoleta from Greece – 13 September 2023 (9/10)
It was very quite and clean.
What could be improved: –Superb – Ekaterine from Georgia – 19 May 2023 (9/10)
It has a very good location, you can easily walk to most attractions and if cleanliness is important to you, you should definitely choose this apartment.
Good value, clean and well equipped – Simon from Australia – 26 December 2022 (9/10)
Well equipped, clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: Not many power points, had to unplug something to use laptop, charge phones etc.
