The Porta Genova metro station is about a ten-minute walk, so getting into central Milan or to the Duomo is pretty straightforward.

The Space Itself

My room had this interesting mix of contemporary design with some original architectural details — high ceilings and restored wooden beams that reminded you this building has some history. The apartment-style layout gives you more space than your typical Milan hotel, with a small seating area that actually feels usable. What surprised me was how quiet it was, considering you’re in such a lively neighborhood.

Local Flavor

The staff here really knows the area — they pointed me toward this little restaurant around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own, plus gave me the inside scoop on which aperitivo spots along the canals are worth it versus the tourist traps. There’s no formal concierge desk, but the front desk folks are genuinely helpful with recommendations. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere this close to the Navigli, you want local insights, not generic tourist advice.

Honestly, this place works because it feels authentic to Milan without trying too hard. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or fancy amenities you don’t need — instead, you get a comfortable base in one of the city’s most interesting neighborhoods.   Die Dokumente, die beschrieben wo die Schlüssel zu finden sind, sind leider nicht sehr übersichtlich. Zum Glück konnte ich aber eine Person sehr schnell telefonisch erreichen und die Person hatte viel Geduld mir alles zu erklären

  Plenty o options for dinner nearby. The canal is nice but overwhelmingly busy. Too touristy
  
  What could be improved: Very noisy as the apartment faces the street full of bars. We could only sleep with earplugs.
  No possibility to leave luggage anywhere after checkout
  Complicated check in system which did not work. I only gained access because the neighbors opened the door. You needed two codes, they didn't work properly. Nobody from the apartment company answered the phone. Once finally in, you will need keys constantly to open two different gates, quite a nuisance
  The chain to flush the toilet was broken. So was the main door handle.
