First Impressions

When I first walked up to YR Apartments Milan – Duomo on Via dei Piatti, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the unassuming entrance. But here’s the thing about Milan — some of the best places hide behind modest facades. This three-star property sits right in the heart of the city center, and I mean literally steps from everything you came to see.

Location & Neighborhood

You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re a three-minute walk from the Duomo, but you’re not paying those crazy hotel prices right on the piazza. Via dei Piatti is this quiet little street that locals actually use — there’s a fantastic pasticceria around the corner where I grabbed cornetti every morning. The Quadrilatero della Moda is basically next door if shopping’s your thing, and honestly, you can walk to La Scala in about ten minutes.

The Space

The apartment I stayed in was way more spacious than typical Milan accommodations. The kitchen actually had everything I needed — proper plates, decent coffee maker, even a little dining table by the window. I mean, it’s not fancy, but it’s clean and functional. The room felt more like staying in a friend’s place than a hotel, which I actually preferred after long days of sightseeing.

What Really Works

The best part? Having your own space to spread out and decompress. Milan can be overwhelming — all that fashion week energy even when it’s not fashion week — and coming back to make a simple dinner or just sit with a glass of wine made all the difference. The wifi actually works well too, which matters if you’re trying to plan your next day or share those Duomo photos. There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, why would you want one when you’re surrounded by some of the best trattorias in the city?

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t going to wow you with marble lobbies or fancy amenities. What it does is give you a real base in the center of Milan without the tourist trap pricing. The 9.3 rating makes sense — people appreciate the space, the location, and the fact that you can actually live a bit like a Milanese person for a few days. Plus, there’s something nice about having your own key and coming and going as you please, especially during aperitivo hour when the streets come alive.

  Appartamento completamente rinnovato e molto curato in un palazzo storico a due passi dal Duomo. Bellissimo il cortile, la strada dove si trova l’appartamento molto tranquilla, appartamento silenzioso siccome tutte le finestre danno sul cortile interno.
  
  What could be improved: L’appartamento era freddo. Hanno impostato la temperatura di giorno di 19 gradi e di 16 gradi quella notturna. Non si riusciva ad alzarla in nessun modo anche perché l’edificio è vecchio e il riscaldamento troppo debole. Le regole di comune di Milano con le quali si giustificano sono valide solo per gli edifici pubblici e non per le abitazioni private.
  Si sentiva il rumore dell’ascensore appena fuori dalla porta. Non si poteva nemmeno chiudere la porta della cucina per isolarsi dal rumore perché l’unica fonte di calore si trova proprio in cucina appena entrati.
  Hanno nascosto il telecomando dell’aria condizionata per non poter usarla per il riscaldamento e per risparmiare.
  Inoltre, la coperta sintetica è troppo leggerà per poter dormire di notte con 16 gradi impostati.

  Удобная локация, до Duomo буквально 5 минут ходьбы. По близости есть супермаркет la esse, что не мало важно. В номере есть все необходимое для комфортного проживания ( утюг, гладильная доска, посуда, микроволновая печь,вода, чай, кофе капсульное и многое другое) Ставлю 20 баллов из 10

  Konumu mükemmeldi. Duoma ya 7 dk yürüme mesafesinde. Alış-veriş caddesinin üzerinde. Milan merkez istasyonundan direkt metro ile ya Duomo dan ya Missori yürüme mesafesinde.Missori yine çok yakın. Bina çok güvenli. Dairede istediğiniz herşey var. Tertemiz. Kalınabilecek en iyi konum diyebilirim. Ev sahibi kapdul kahve ve ingiliz çayı bırakmıştı ki. Biz Türkler çaysız yapamıyoruz. Banyoda sıvı sabun, duş jeli ve şampuan vardı. Saç Kurutma makinesi, ütü herşey var. Havlular yeterliydi. Eve girebilmeniz için internetiizin olması gerekiyor. Uzaktan size şifre geliyor ve kapıları açıyorsunuz. Ev sahibi talimatarı açık bir şekilde gönderiyor. Biz mesela check-in saatini belirtmediğimiz için şifre 15.00 de aktif oluyordu. Erken geldik. Mesaj yazdık ve uzaktan bize kapıyı açtılar. 25 eur şejir vergisini gelmeden online sistem üzerinden ödedik. Genel olarak konaklamamızdan memnun kaldık.

  Świeżo odnowione, czyściutkie. Bardzo szczegółowe i dokładne instrukcje dostania się do mieszkania. Butelkowana woda od właściciela, wygodne łóżko. Dobrze zaciemniające zasłony. Bardzo blisko do Duomo, ale nie słychać ulicy ponieważ mieszkanie ma okna na podwórko. Mili sąsiedzi (załączam zdjęcie ;))

  Lovely apartament in the centre of Milan, just a few steps from the Duomo. Everything was new and spotless clean, the building was beautiful, and even though it was just steps away from a main street, it was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. The communication with the host was super easy, they responded quickly to all our enquiries. Thank you for having us, we will definitely book again, next time we’re in Milan.

  Krásné, čisté a voňavé ubytování v centru Milána. Ubytování je do dvora a byť jsme byli v centru, v noci byl klid a ticho. Vybavení perfektní a nové.
  Byli jsme velice spokojeni a můžeme jen doporučit.
